Syðri-Gegnishólar is situated south of Selfoss. In Flóahreppur rural. When driving to Syðri-Gegnishólar from Reykjavík you have two routes to go. Through Þrengsli and Stokkseyri a 60 km route or over Hellisheiði and Selfoss a 56 km route. When driving over Hellisheiði you drive through Selfoss and turn to the right down Gaulverjabær ( road 33)  drive on about 10 km until you see the sign Arnarhóll turn to the right and drive to Syðri-Gegnishólar. When driving throug Þrengsli you drive past Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri  and on past Baugsstaðir lighthouse about 7 km ang turn to the left at the social clubhouse Félagslundur drive on until you see a sign Arnarhóll and turn there to the left and drive on to Syðri-Gegnishólar. See map.

Coming from the east when driving to Syðri Gegnishólar from Hella you drive almost into the town Selfossi and turn left at the sign Gaulverjabær ( road 33 ) drive for about 10 km until you see a sign to the left marked Arnarhóll, turn there and drive on to Syðri-Gegnishólar.  See map.
